{September 2, 2009}   daily outfit #2

high waist shorts: thrifted Guess jeans
v-neck tshirt: American Apparel
necklace: vintage from Grandma

I traded in some clothes at Buffalo Exchange and used the credit to get this American Apparel shirt. I love the color and have gotten many compliments on it. The pants were $2 from a local thrift store and I cut them into shorts. This is the first time I’ve had high waisted anything and I think the outfit looks pretty cute. I’m not used to the cut though and it’s hard for me to sit for long periods of time in them!

{August 24, 2009}   daily outfit #1

bodysuit: thrifted
pants: Target

I wore this outfit around my parents house. My Mom picked up the bodysuit for me at a thrift store and I love it. I can’t wait until it starts cooling down so i can wear it more often.

First gather your supplies.

I used Jessica Brilliance “High Gloss in a Flash”, but you can use any nail

polish you want. I like glitter in a top coat so I can add glitter to any color.

Make sure you get a fine loose glitter. I chose silver, but again any glitter

color will work great. You will also need a small funnel or stiff piece of paper

folded and taped into funnel shape.

Now take the brush out of the nail polish and set it in a place where drips

won’t matter. Then use your funnel to pour some glitter into the nail polish.

Only add a little at a time (about 1/2 tsp) until you get the desired effect. Put

the brush back in and shake well. Make sure you shake the nail polish well

before use to get an even amount of glitter on every nail.

It’s that simple!

Tip: if you make really glittery nail polish, add a clear top coat to help seal in the glitter.

new sandalsLike my new sandals? I’ve been looking for some new strappy flat sandals for a while and finally found a great pair. I wanted something comfortable and cute (of course) and stopped by Zara at the mall. I’d never been there before but heard good things. Anyways, they had a great sale and these were 50% off.. so only $20!

I think this outfit I made is adorable. If I had extra cash I would definitely get the pants and cardigan and go for a stroll in Paris. Oh how I miss you Paris!

{July 30, 2009}   Lindsay Lohan

I was browsing online and stumbled across pictures of Lindsay Lohan in the April issue of Nylon magazine.

After a few photos like the one above, I found this…

Is it just me or does her leg area look kind of off? Hopefully it’s a photoshop butchering and her thighs aren’t that small. What do you think?

{July 30, 2009}   Neon Madness

Neon Maddness
Neon Maddness – by sweetheartclothing on Polyvore.com

I’m loving neon lately! I think it’s a cool look but it needs to be used in moderation. I wouldn’t wear all these items at once, but I think a little color adds a lot to an outfit.

What do you think, are you a fan of neon?
